Juan Antonio Gómez Pulido is a Full Professor in the area of Computer Architecture and Technology at the University of Extremadura and a senior member of the ARCO research group.
His research work focuses on High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Reconfigurable Computing (FPGAs), applying these technologies to accelerate complex algorithms in bioinformatics, multi-objective optimization, and smart grids. He has recently expanded his research lines towards Quantum Computing.
He has supervised numerous Ph.D. theses and National Plan projects, and maintains close collaboration with industry and other international research centers. He is the author of over a hundred scientific publications in high-impact journals and prestigious conferences.
