José Manuel García Alonso is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Systems and Telematics Engineering and current Director of Technology Transfer and Business Development at the University of Extremadura.
His research career began in the Quercus group, specializing in service-oriented computing and mobile devices. Subsequently, he has led innovative research lines in Quantum Software Engineering and Gerontechnology (technology applied to healthy aging), coordinating high-impact international projects such as 4IE (Interreg) and Tech4Efficiency.
In addition to his academic profile, he has strong ties to the business sector, being a co-founder of technological spin-offs and actively promoting university-industry knowledge transfer.
